Jaynelle started Pietisserie in 2010, giving pie slices away to neighbors out of the window of her mother’s home. Four years ago she opened in the current retail location at 1605 Second Avenue in Oakland near Lake Merritt.nShe has received recognition from major food media including Road Trip with G. Garvin and Unique Sweets on the Cooking Channel, Food & Wine magazine, and The Best Thing I Ever Ate on Food Network.
